How do I restore the Internet Explorer Windows registry entry back to its original form? I downloaded some software by accident that was obviously malware from a video site. Now the IE reg setting changed!

Trojans and viruses or anything has deleted registry entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. I am not able to install new antivirus suite as it asks me to uninstall Norton Antivirus which is already in my system. Unable to uninstall Norton as the Change/Remove button is not there in Control Panel ...

I scaned my computers registry from a registry cleaner, but I m in doubt that is it really cleaning the invalid registryies or not. I think that it is not compeletly scanning all registry entries. One more think I create a invalid registry in "regeditor" but it is not showing ...

Most of them would only find lots of errors but not repair them. Plus how could I improve the booting speed of my computer?
