Do I just go through all the registry entries that have the name on it and delete them? Will it effect the rest of my computer? Its an old anti-virus program that I dont use anymore.

there are so many different registry clean ups being offered and they're SOOO expensive. I'd like to find a good free one that is actually free...not a trial that lasts thirty days and doesn't actually do anything. Any suggestions or advice?

i bought a vista in may and have quite a good deal of installing various software and sometimes it starts to freeze and say not responding. should i use a registry cleaner?
