I need help with pc repair. I can't find a registry that says its free that actually is free. Is there one?

I tried to remove it from Add/Remove programs, it does not appear there, however the box appears on my screen.

Several third party vendors sell software to scan and repair "registry". Seems it is a common probelm. Does Microsoft has a fix for this problem other than do a system restor to an earlier date?

I have tried 2 or 3 registry repair web sites that never mention until you have tried it, that you must pay after a small trial session. Are there any registry repair programs that are totally free?
