How can I get the information from registry editor?

November 25th, 2009 | by admin |

After installing a software i added some information from a file in the registry editor. Accidentally i deleted this file and now i want to find where this information is stored in the registry to use it in another computer.Thank you.
Is there a way to find witch information in the registry is added recently? Or to sort the information by date.
How can i get the latest information added in the registry, the newest? Can i find it?

The registry has tens of thousands of keys in it, good luck.

Here’s a suggestion though; open regedit, then navigate to HKLM\software\%whatever software your registry stuff applies to%, export to whole key to a .reg file and try it on the other system.

I don’t think I know what you want to do, or it’s actually that you don’t.
You can access the registry by typing regedit.exe in the run dialog box, but after that, how to find what your program put there, don’t ask me, the registry is full of stuff, only god, the program creator, and your good memory, can find the info.
