How do I remove a virus from my registry editor?
January 30th, 2010 | by admin |I have Norton Antivirus 2006 and I ran 2 full system scans and it detected no viruses or spyware. but somehow I still have pop ups and my desktop background keeps changing to spyware. Norton Antivirus isn’t detecting this virus in the registry so how do I go about removing it?

uninstall norton and all the symantec and live update components…install the free version of avast and run a boot time scan….the problem is that the virus is embedded in a running process which can’t be removed while windows is running….that’s where the avast boot time scan comes in handy….it will scan the computer before windows starts…making all the difference in the world…and the boot time scan is part of the set up of avast…..cheers
