How to reset Registry Editor to defaults?
September 14th, 2009 | by admin |I made some tweaks in registry editor by going to run –> regedit and since then my computer has been a little buggy. I don’t remember all the changes I made and/or what they were originally so I was wondering if it was possible to restore the Registry Editor settings to default somehow, or if there was a program that could do it… or something. Thanks for your help!
Editing the registry is very dangerous. If you are going to do it you should save the hive you are editing to a backup file first. If you did not do this, then your only chance is a system restore to a date before you made the changes. You cannot as someone else suggested simply insert some magical default values.

Yes, ask microsoft for a default registry file. Then update the registry with it.
