Is there any way to uninstall software programs whose registry entry are corrupt?
October 14th, 2009 | by admin |Trojans and viruses or anything has deleted registry entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. I am not able to install new antivirus suite as it asks me to uninstall Norton Antivirus which is already in my system. Unable to uninstall Norton as the Change/Remove button is not there in Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. Any solution? There were trojans which were removed, I believe, recently.
Try this ——
Start > My Computer > C-drive > Program Files .
Look for the file you want to delete , and delete it.
Then download "CCleaner" from Filehippo.com ———
Use this program to clean up afterwards the "issues" that will be left behind.
CCleaner can also be used to "uninstall" programs by itself.
TuneUp Utilities 2007 is another one you could use — download from Filehippo.com also.

Just simply remove it from your hard drive

you have to manually uninstall it. the easiest way to do this is go to the folders where you know norton is, then after that search your computer for anything with the word norton in it.
