can i use any windows xp disc to repair a faulty registry?
August 26th, 2009 | by admin |i bought a second hand pc (packhard bell iextreeme) and the registry has become corrupted. the smart restore facility has been disabled. can i use an xp disc ro repair the registry or does it have to be the version registered to this particular pc??
Any disc will do, maybe it would have to be xp pro, if your version is pro, or home if your`s is home.
If the pc came with a serial number attached, why don`t you do a format and reinstall windows for a good clean start.
