How to erase and entry from windows xp registry?

January 26th, 2010 | by admin |

windows registry would not let me open and erase QuickTime Player registry values at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Clients/Media/QuickTime Player.
If I tried to open DefalultIcon or Shell, or InstallInfo, I get a prompt saying windows can not open the key. I tried to open the key in Safe Mode, without luck. Tried to uninstall QuickTime via Control Panel, and no luck either. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

As the Administrator; Start -> run – >"regedit" -> ok.
