What is the Windows registry and what is the Registry Cleaner/ Editor’s purpose?

September 29th, 2009 | by admin |

I’m just curious and my PC’s running slow lately. What is a registry cleaner and a registry? Will this make my computer faster? Thanks.

The registry is basically how windows runs. DO NOT alter the registry. registry cleaners claim to improve system performance and "clean" your registry of junk registry entries. Use at your own risk, i doubt it will speed your computer up but could get rid of some junk files you may have accidentally installed or no longer want. If your worried about system performance try a disk defrag like Auslogics Disk Defrag, it’s free to download and is a good little program and is fast
